Nighat Orakzai submits notice on violence against children

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Nighat Orakzai on Tuesday submitted a notice to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Secretariat on the reports of committees formed on violence against innocent children in consultation with the Law Department.
The position has been taken that very cruel incidents are happening to innocent children everyday in the province which was discussed several times on the Assembly floor and in this regard the resolution and point of order were also discussed.
After that three committees were formed and these committees also submitted their reports. The said committees worked on it for about two months and submitted their reports to the main committee but so far neither those committees have been brought forward nor any significant work has been done on it.
She demanded through this esteemed House that the work done by the committees should be completed by the Law Department and presented in the House in the form of a regular bill for the prevention of incidents of the murder of children and sexual violence.
