World Heart Day observed at KTH

PESHAWAR: The Department of Cardiology, Khyber Teaching Hospital (MTI-KTH) Peshawar in collaboration with Pakistan Cardiac Society (PCS) has marked the World Heart Day 2020 to create awareness in public about heart diseases, their treatment and necessary precautionary measures.

A free medical camp was arranged in KTH here on Friday, wherein free medical checkup, screening and other services were provided to needy and deserving patients. Meanwhile, a public awareness interactive session was held in which medical consultation was provided to people from different walks of life.

Similarly, an awareness walk was also arranged in this regard which was attended by the Head of Cardiology Department, KTH Prof Dr Amber Ashraf, Associate Prof Dr Muhammad Faheem, Assistant Prof Dr Sadiq Shah, Assistant Prof Dr Farooq, faculty members, TMOs, HOs, nursing and paramedical staff and general public.

Here it is to be mentioned that the World Heart Day 2020 was also observed by the Pakistan Cardiac Society Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter in many districts i.e. Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Swat, Bannu, Kohat and Abbotabad.
