CM, Governor inspect Warsak-Nowshehra Canal Project

LANDI KOTAL: The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Khan and the Governor Shah Farman paid a visit to Jamrud and reviewed the Warsak-Nowshehra Canal Remodeling Project on Wednesday.

They visited the pump house, Jamrud and then went to the construction site where they were briefed of the scheme. Later on speaking to the media persons CM Mehmood Khan said that with the completion of the project, extra water would be available to the local growers but would also be benefited the farmers of Nowshehra.

For the purpose huge funds had been allocated, he added and said that machinery for the pump house would be imported from abroad to increase the efficiency of the pump. He said that 3% due share, reserved for the merged tribal districts in the NFC award would be granted to it that would be utilized for the uplift of the area.

Deputy Commissioner, Khyber, Mehmood Aslam Wazir, District Police Officer, Muhammad Hussain, local political figures and other officials were also present on the occasion.
