Artist threatened to stop music teaching

KARACHI: Famous singer, composer and songwriter Aamir Saleem has been seriously threatened to end teaching music to students at his home, otherwise he and his family members would be brutally killed, sources told.
According to sources, artist Aamir Saleem along with his wife and children here on the other day was going to bazar from his flat in Khayaban-e-Nishat Commercial, suddenly two bearded men having weapons came and started abusing him in presence of his family and told him to stop music teaching, otherwise the consequences would be very dangerous.
After the incident, he left his flat in the mentioned area where he was residing for the last 10 years and shifted his house to somewhere else in the city, sources added.
Meanwhile, literary and cultural circles have seriously condemned this incident and demanded the higher authorities to take strict action against the culprits by providing safety and justice to Aamir Saleem and his family.
