25 TMA retired employees not paid pension despite 3 years

LAKKI MARWAT: The 25 employees of the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Lakki Marwat had not yet been paid their pension commutation despite the lapse of three years, sources said here on Thursday.

They said that 25 employees including Abdul Jalil (Library Assistant) was yet to be paid the remaining Rs100,000 despite his retirement three ago, Bader Zaman (Baildar) Rs186,000, Muhammad Rafiq (Sweeper) Rs772,000 retired in Jan 2021, Muhammad Hassan (Baildar) Rs226,000 retired in 2018, Nabi Bakhsh (Sweeper) Rs505,000 retired in 2018, Muhammad Ramzan (Sweeper) Rs200,000 retired in 2020, and many others.

The sources said that about 25 employees were retired three years ago after serving for 40 years at the Tehsil Municipal Administration, Lakki Marwat, where their pension amounting Rs15 million had not yet been paid to them. They added that the retired employees used to visit the TMA office for reimbursement of their pension, but to no avail.

When contacted, the Tehsil Municipal Officer Muhammad Yousaf Khan said that there was no such a huge amount available in the TMA’s bank account to pay their pension. He added that the provincial high-ups had been informed about the alarming situation and crisis prevailed in the TMA Lakki Marwat.
