PCSN condemns acid attack on women in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Pakhtunkhwa Civil Society Network (PCSN) has strongly condemned the acid throwing incident which was occurred few days ago in the jurisdiction of Tatara Police Station of Hayatabad, Peshawar.
In a press release issued here on Wednesday, the PCSN demanded that the victims should be completely allowed to exercise their fundamental rights in the pursuit of justice and full protection should be provided to them and their family.
The PCSN asked the authorities to add Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) to the FIR as well and the statements of all the victims should be thoroughly recorded, adding that immediate arrest of the alleged criminals should be made and an impartial and fair inquiry in the case to be held.
The PCSN further demanded that the government and the concerned authorities as well as human rights organizations should play their due role in this regard to eliminate the menace of violence against women from the society.
