Ph.D scholar Asia Umar defends thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Asia Umar Khan of the Department of Management Sciences, Islamia College University (ICU) Peshawar has successfully defended her thesis and declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Management Sciences.

A function was held at the ICU here on Monday. The function was followed by a question-answer session in which she defended her research work successfully by answering the questions of the participants in a well-managed and proper way.

The topic of her study is: “Promoting Sustainable Cultural Tourism in Pakistan” which she completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Qadar Bakhsh Baloch and Prof Dr Gohar Zaman, while Prof Dr Muhammad Yasir of the Hazara University and Prof Dr Sajjad Ahmad of the University of Peshawar served as her examiners.

Apart from the Director, Higher Studies, ICU, Prof Dr Sareer Badshah, the Chairman, Department of Management Sciences, Dr Shahid Jan Kakakhel, faculty members, research scholars and students, the thesis defence function of the scholar was also attended by a number of people belonging to the different walks of life.
