MARDAN: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Mardan celebrated the successful completion of one year of visionary leadership by Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Gul Muhammad Khan.
A special ceremony was arranged in this regard here the other day which was attended by faculty members, officers, and other staff. The event reflected a proud milestone of academic growth, research momentum, and a strong commitment to building future-ready engineers for Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Gul Muhammad Khan delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the university’s achievements over the last year and outlining a forward-looking roadmap. He emphasized that UET Mardan’s mission was to strengthen quality education, promote industry-driven learning, nurture a research and innovation culture, and prepare students to become future builders and problem solvers for the nation.
During the past year, UET Mardan strengthened its academic footprint both nationally and internationally. The university actively participated as an academic partner in the 20th International Conference on Emerging Technologies (ICET 2025), where UET Mardan showcased its growing role in research, innovation, and global academic collaboration, states the press release.
It adds, notably, the year also featured major academic and thought-leadership events led by UET Mardan’s community – strengthening its vision of becoming a hub for technology, applied research, and modern learning systems.
As part of its internationalization vision, Vice Chancellor Dr Gul Muhammad Khan visited Africa to explore collaborative opportunities with the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) and other academic and research organizations. The visit represented a significant milestone in expanding UET Mardan’s global academic outreach and building international partnerships focused on climate resilience, sustainable engineering, artificial intelligence, water management, and innovation-driven education, the press release concludes.
