Ph.D scholar Muhammad Ilyas defends thesis

PESHAWAR: Muhammad Ilyas, a research scholar of the Department of Food Science and Technology, Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP), has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis here on Tuesday.
The thesis defence function of the scholar was arranged at the AUP which was followed by a question-answer session wherein he defended his research work successfully by answering the questions of the audience in a proper way and he was declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Food Science and Technology.
The topic of his thesis is: “Development of Noodles from Blends of High and Low Amylose Rice varieties Grown in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” which he completed under the supervision of Dr Ihsan Mabood Qazi, Associate Professor, Department of Food Science and Technology, AUP, while it was examined by several eminent professors in the United States of America and Italy.
The Vice Chancellor, AUP, Prof Dr Jehan Bakht, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Said Wahab, faculty members, administrative officers, research scholars and students as well as a number of people belonging to different walks of life attended the function.
