Islamia College VC replaced

PESHAWAR: The Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shah Farman, sent Prof Dr Naushad Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor, Islamia College University, Peshawar on forced leave for a period of 90 days.

A notification issued on Tuesday stated that in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Governor under Section 12(8) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Universities Act, 2012, he sent the VC Prof Dr Naushad Khan on 90 days forced leave with immediate effect on account of acts of mismanagement and maladministration reported in media in addition to irregularities and nepotism pointed out by Governor’s Inspection Team in its report.

The Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa/Chancellor Islamia College University, Peshawar further assigned additional charge of the post of VC, Islamia College University to Prof Dr Jehan Bakht, Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Peshawar with immediate effect till further orders.
