Mahfooz Khan defends Ph.D thesis

PESHAWAR: Mahfooz Khan, a research scholar of the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) has successfully defended his thesis and declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Economics.
In this regard, a function was held at the IDS, AUP on Thursday in which the scholar Mahfooz Khan defended his Ph.D thesis by answering the questions of the audience in a proper and well-managed way. Apart from the faculty members, research scholars and students of the IDS, a number of people from different walks of life were present on the occasion.
The title of his thesis is: “An Economic Analysis of Choice of Alternative Sources of Energy for Cooking and Heating in Rural Areas of District Peshawar” which he completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Himayat Ullah Khan, whereas the thesis was examined by many professors in Pakistan as well as from abroad.
