Uplifting BKUC on int’l level utmost priority: Prof Khan Alam

PESHAWAR: The Vice Chancellor, Bacha Khan University Charsadda, Prof Dr Khan Alam has said that progressing the university was his top priority and all available resources would be fully utilized in this regard, so it could play a prominent role on national and international level.
While talking to the daily Sunrise Today, the newly-appointed vice chancellor told that he was very enthusiastic and dedicated about joining the BKUC to upgrade it as a well-recognized higher education institution in the region.
“The university has a good potential for growing as per the KP government’s vision, but there is need for proper utilization of this potential, so it may become a knowledge hub not only for district Charsadda, but the whole Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he stated.
Prof Khan Alam continued, “Bacha Khan University is a blessing for the people of Charsadda, as it is providing affordable and quality higher education to the local population at their doorstep and in the near future, it will also be proved as a great seat of learning for the whole province.”
It is to be noted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has recently appointed Prof Dr Khan Alam as VC, BKUC, for his outstanding services and achievements in the field of higher education and research. For the last two decades, he is serving in the higher education sector, and has a vast experience in teaching, research, and administration.
Prior to this appointment, he was serving at the Department of Physics, University of Peshawar, where he is the founder of Atmosphere and Environmental Research Laboratory. He has published around 100 research papers in national and international recognized journals and has also supervised a number of MPhil and PhD research scholars.
