Increase cops’ ration allowance

A few days ago, a video got viral on social media in which a policeman had described the situation of ration allowance for low scale police officials in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that their monthly ration allowance was Rs 1,000 and they were unable to meet the monthly expenses of their food in such a tiny amount, therefore, the concerned authorities and high-ups should increase their ration allowance in the larger public interest.
This fact cannot be denied that Rs 1,000 as ration allowance is a very small amount to meet the monthly food expenses in such a critical time where inflation is extremely high in Pakistan, and probably, this is one of the main reasons behind the corruption and malpractices by low scale officials in KP police.
Similarly, this direction also leads to poor law and order situation in the province, therefore, the provincial government and the police department should take serious notice of this issue and resolve it on emergency basis to make the police force more and more stronger, efficient and vibrant.
If prioritized the matter, it will not only make the morale of police officers high but will also help them in serving the public by combating with cruelty, crimes, and terrorism with strong courage and energy. Therefore, it is high time for addressing the issue in a well-managed and proper way to play role in the progress of KP.
