Pharmacist Saimon Shahzad defends PhD thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Saimon Shahzad of the Department of Pharmacy, University of Peshawar (UoP) has successfully defended his dissertation and declared eligible for the award of PhD degree in the subject of Pharmacy.
The thesis defense function was held here on Tuesday at the Department of Pharmacy, UoP, in which he successfully defended his research work by answering the questions of the participants in a well-managed and proper way. Apart from faculty, research scholars and students, the event was also attended by a number of people from different walks of life.
The title of his thesis is: “Assessment of Prevailing Treatment Practices for Therapeutic Efficacy and Drug Related Problems in Psychiatric Patients with Suicidal Behavior”, which he completed under the supervision of Dr Sami Ullah, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, UoP, whereas Prof Dr Khalid Rauf, Department of Pharmacy, COMSATS University, Abbottabad Campus, and Dr Syed Muhammad Ashhad Halimi, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacy, UoP, served as his examiners.
