Cisco Int’l Networking Academy inaugurated at UoH

HARIPUR: BRAINS Institute, Peshawar established a Cisco International Networking Academy at the University of Haripur. The inauguration ceremony of the academy held here on the other day, which was marked by the presence of Prof Dr Shafique-ur-Rehman, Vice Chancellor, UoH, Prof Dr Mukhtar Khan and Prof Dr Riaz Khan besides many other people from different walks of life.

“This digital literacy has become the need of the hour for every organization to perform at par with global institutions. Digital transformation is very important for all businesses – from a micro level organization to a largest enterprise,” said Zafar Ullah Khan, Rector, BRAINS Institute and CEO, Cisco ASC/ITC, being guest of honor on the occasion.

“The setting up of Cisco Int’l Networking Academy and Support Centre at the UoH will provide a number of opportunities for the educational institutions, including the schools, colleges and universities operating in both public and private sectors in the region,” he added.

He further stated, “The Higher Education Commission really admires and supports such initiatives, which pave a way to promote the innovative IT technologies in Pakistan. I truly congratulate the management and staff of the University of Haripur for taking such enduring initiative.”
