PhD scholar Mushtaq Ahmad defends thesis

PESHAWAR: Mushtaq Ahmad, a research scholar of the Institute of Development Studies, University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP) has successfully defended his PhD dissertation here on Wednesday.

In this regard, a function was organized at the UAP wherein he defended his research work by answering the questions of the audience in a well-managed and proper way and he was declared eligible for the award of PhD degree in the subject of Rural Development.

The topic of the study of the scholar is: “Socio-economic effects and willingness-to-pay for Micro Hydropower schemes in district Shangla”. Dr Malik Inayatullah Jan served as his supervisor, while the thesis was examined by several eminent professors in Malaysia and Spain.

Apart from faculty members, research scholars and students of the university, the event was also attended by a number of people from different walks of life and congratulated the newly-graduated PhD.
