Ph.D scholar Shafqat Ali defends thesis

PESHAWAR: Shafqat Ali Khan, a research scholar of the Department of Botany, Islamia College University (ICU) Peshawar has successfully defended his Ph.D thesis here on Tuesday.
A function was held in this regard at the ICU. The function was followed by a question-answer session wherein he defended his research work by answering the questions of the audience in a scholarly way and he was declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Botany. Faculty members, research scholars and students participated on the occasion.
The topic of his thesis is: “Isolation, Characterization and Biological Evaluation of Bioactive Compounds from Root and Stem Bark of Rhus Succedanea J. D. Hooker” which he completed under the supervision of Dr Barkat Ullah of the Department of Botany, ICU, while Dr Muhammad Ibrar and Dr Nadeem Ahmad of the University of Peshawar served as his external examiners.
