Ph.D scholar Ayaz Ahmad defends thesis

PESHAWAR: Ayaz Ahmad, a research scholar of the Department of Rural Development, University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP) has successfully defended his thesis and declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Rural Development.

In this regard, a function was arranged at the UAP here on Tuesday. The function was followed by a question-answer session in which he defended his research work by answering the questions of the participants in a well-managed and proper way.

The topic of the thesis of the scholar is: “Effects of Joint Forest Management on Livelihood of Local Communities and Forest Conditions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa” which he completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Muhammad Zulfiqar of the Institute of Development Studies, UAP, while the thesis was evaluated by renowned professors in Turkey and China.

The Vice Chancellor, UAP, Prof Dr Jehan Bakht, Director, Institute of Development Studies, Prof Dr Himayatullah Khan, Director Teaching Prof Dr Humayun Khan, Chairman, Department of Agronomy, Prof Dr Muhammad Akmal, faculty members, research scholars and students participated on the occasion.
