Fazli Malik defends PhD dissertation

PESHAWAR: Fazli Malik, a research scholar of the Centre for Disaster Preparedness and Management (CDPM), University of Peshawar, has successfully defended his thesis and declared eligible for the award of PhD degree in the subject of Disaster Management.
The thesis defense ceremony was held here on Thursday at the CDPM, in which the scholar answered the questions of the participants in a well-managed and proper way. The function was convened by Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali, Director, CDPM, whereas faculty members, research scholars and students of the university were in attendance.
The title of the thesis of the scholar is: “Damages Assessment of Flash Floods Along Watalai Khwar District Bajaur”, which he completed under the supervision of Meritorious Prof Dr Amir Nawaz Khan, former Dean, Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Peshawar.
Prof Dr Syed Atif Bokhari, Department of Geography, Govt Graduate College, Rawalpindi, and Prof Dr Atta-ur-Rehman, Chairman, Department of Geography, University of Peshawar, served as his external examiners.
