M.Phil scholar Muhammad Khan defends thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Muhammad Khan of the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) has successfully defended his M.Phil thesis here on Thursday.
In this regard, a function was organised at the AUP which was followed by a question-answer session wherein he defended his research work successfully by answering the questions of the audience in a proper way and he was declared eligible for the award of M.Phil degree in the subject of Statistics.
The title of his thesis is: “Comparison of different methods for estimating the parameters of weibull distribution” which he completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Yousaf Hayat, Chairman, Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, AUP, while Prof Dr Qamruz Zaman of the Department of Statistics, University of Peshawar was his external examiner.
Apart from the faculty members, research scholars and students of the university, the thesis defence function of the scholar was also attended by a number of people belonging to the different fields of life.
