Ph.D scholar Mehwish defends thesis

PESHAWAR: Mehwish Durrani, a research scholar of the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences (IBMS), Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar has successfully defended her thesis and declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Biochemistry.
In this regard, a function was arranged at the KMU on Friday in which she defended her research work by answering the questions of the audience properly. The event was attended by faculty members, research scholars and students as well as people from different fields of life.
The topic of her study is: “Plasma zinc in relation to metabolites of gut micro biota in breast fed and formula fed infants” which she completed under the supervision of Prof Dr Rubina Nazli of the IBMS, KMU, while it was examined by Dr Ghosia Lutfullah, a former professor of the Center for Biotechnology and Microbiology, University of Peshawar, and few other eminent professors of the country.
