Rahat Shah, Fazal Shakoor defend M.Phil thesis

PESHAWAR: Research scholars Rahat Shah and Fazal Shakoor of the Department of Pakistan Studies, Islamia College University (ICU), Peshawar have successfully defended their theses and declared eligible for the award of M.Phil degrees in the subject of Pakistan Studies.

In this regard, a function was organised at the ICU on Monday in which both the scholars defended their respective theses. The event was followed by a question-answer session in which they answered the questions of the audience in a well-managed and proper way. The faculty members, research scholars, students and people from different walks of life were in attendance, whereas many persons participated online.

The title of the study of scholar Rahat Shah is: “An Analysis of Political Development in Swat since 1969-2008”, whereas the topic of the study of scholar Fazal Shakoor is: “The Causes, Feelings and Sense of Deprivation of the people of Balochistan”. Both the scholars have completed their research work under the supervision of Prof Dr Naushad Khan, Vice Chancellor, ICU, while both the studies have been examined by many well-known professors of the country.
