Universities to open under SOPs: PSF
PESHAWAR: Peoples Students Federation (PSF) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter has demanded the government to open the universities under SOPs as the initiative of online classes has been badly failed due to the non-availability of internet in the major areas of the country.
This was decided in an online meeting held on Saturday under the chair of Riaz Khan Yousafzai, General Secretary, PSF, KP, whereas other office bearers and leaders of PSF, including Waqar Khattak, Ziad Khan, Nisar Khan, Ayub Lala, Zia ul Islam, Malak Najib Ullah, Muhib Khan and Syed Hassan Shah were also present on the occasion.
During the meeting, first of all the participants prayed for the speedy recovery of the Corona patients in the country as well as abroad and said that they rejected the current budget as it is neither in the interest of the public nor the students, adding that opening of the universities with SOPs was a need of the time and the government should pay attention to this important matter.
They further stated that if the opening of universities was not possible in the prevailing situation then the government should provide internet to all those students who don't have access to this facility, while proper training should also be given to the teachers and students through videos, so that they might be able to take the online classes effectively.
