Workshop on thesis writing held at UoP

PESHAWAR: A workshop on “Writing a Research Thesis/Project Synopsis” was jointly organized by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Peshawar, National Center of Excellence in Physical Chemistry (NCEPC), University of Peshawar and PASTIC, Peshawar at the University of Peshawar on Monday.
Prof Dr Abdul Naeem, Director, NCEPC, University of Peshawar graced the occasion as the chief guest at the opening ceremony. On the first day of the workshop, the chief organizer, Zahoor Ahmad, Manager, ORIC, welcomed the participants and highlighted the objectives of the event. Meritorious Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal (TI), Department of Pharmacy, University of Peshawar talked about the research synopsis writing according to the format of the University of Peshawar. He highlighted that synopsis was a brief but precise writing in a manner that facilitates the reviewer to understand the thesis/research project at a glance.
Ghazala Ali Khan, Deputy Director, PASTIC, Peshawar as resource person spoke about the importance of writing a synopsis and said that synopsis gave a panoramic view of research for quick analysis by the reviewers. The workshop was ended with question and answer session.
