NWSM holds first convocation

PESHAWAR: Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM) held its first convocation on Thursday in which degrees and medals were awarded to 94 graduates of MBBS of session 2016-21.

The event was attended by Dr Abid Jameel, Advisor to Chief Minister KP on Health, Prof Dr Zia-ul-Haq, Vice Chancellor, KMU, Prof Dr Noor-ul-Iman, Principal, NWSM, Prof Dr Tariq Khan, Chairman, Alliance Healthcare, Muhammad Saleem Gandapur, Registrar, KMU, faculty members, parents of students and other distinguished guests.

Addressing the audience, Prof Dr Noor-ul-Iman, Principal, NWSM, said that the first convocation was a great success of the institution, adding that it was a recognition of the achievements of the newly graduated students for their dedication, hard work and outstanding performance throughout their academic journey.

The Chief Guest and Advisor to Chief Minister KP on Health, Dr Abid Jameel while speaking on the occasion stated that without private sector’s inclusion the health challenges of the province could not be overcome, that’s why the provincial government gave same importance to private healthcare as it gave to public healthcare.
