Three KP varsities sign MoU for joint ventures

MARDAN: A memorandum of understanding has been signed by Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology Haripur and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology Swabi.

The MoU was signed by Prof Dr Zahoor-ul-Haq, Vice Chancellor, AWKUM, Prof Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Rector, GIKI and Prof Dr Muhammad Mujahid, Rector, PAF-IAST, here on Friday.

The MoU aims to strengthen collaboration between the three institutions in the field of education and research. Under the agreement, students and faculty will be able to exchange semesters and organize joint research seminars, workshops, international conferences and lectures.

Speaking on the occasion, the heads of partner institutions said that the memorandum of understanding would be a milestone for doing innovative research to lead Pakistan on the right path of economic development, adding that gap between academia and industry must be bridged to collectively use the available resources for scientific advancement in the country.
