Dr Liaqat Ali wins 2nd Best Supervisor Award by PGMI

PESHAWAR: Internationally recognized urologist, medical educationist and researcher, Dr Liaqat Ali has been selected as the 2nd Best Supervisor by the Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI), Peshawar for the year 2022.

The announcement has been made here on the other day by the PGMI administration. According to the notification, Dr Liaqat Ali, Associate Professor, Institute of Kidney Diseases (IKD), Hayatabad, Peshawar has been awarded the position of 2nd Best Supervisor in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This award is a recognition of his marked services in the fields of medical education, research, academics and leadership for providing conducive environment of learning to the post graduate residents. It is worth to state that he has arranged 35 symposia, hands on surgical workshops and conferences during the last three years.

Here, it is also worth mentioning that Dr Liaqat Ali has more than 25 years of experience in the field of urology and the allied health sciences, whereas he is considered one of the competent urologists in Pakistan, especially Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He has done MBBS from the Khyber Medical College Peshawar and FCPS (Urology) from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. He has authored 60 plus research papers which have been published in accredited national and international journals, while he has given more than 100 presentations on national and international level. Similarly, he is also the editor of 5 research journals, including 2 international journals.
