Online education made us innovative

The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted every aspect of life all around the globe. From students to professionals, every single person has seen a drastic change in the way things operated. The business sector is seeing constant ups and downs because the organizations are experiencing regular alterations in their methods of working and operations. Similarly, the education sector of the entire world has to face a lot of complications as well.
During the times of distress and uncertainty in lockdown, all the educational institutions displayed the ability of adapting according to the changes in the environment. This resulted in online education, which for most part is not preferred by majority of the students. Being a student myself, I completely agree that there are a lot of shortcomings in online education. However, there are some benefits of it that we are not clearly aware of.
Online education helps the students become more innovative. Under normal circumstances, in the face-to-face classes, the students are used to getting academic content delivered to them. They receive notes and everything is available at all times. All they need to do is to ask the teachers but online education completely changed this scenario. The students no longer have regular interactions with the teachers and they are not able to get readymade content that they can absorb at once.
But despite these issues, the students are gaining knowledge and passing their exams too. This is because online education requires students to be innovative. They have to look for knowledge from diverse sources by themselves and they have to understand the difficult concepts through creative ways because the teachers are not there to explain them. This leads towards the development of “out of the box thinking” which all the students require to be competent in today’s professional world.
Online education is also helping the students in understanding the importance of being able to adapt according to the environment. Students are now aware that it is not wise to depend on a single source for just about anything. And they are showcasing innovation and creativity by doing things in new ways that get their work done. Helping the students to be able to deal with uncertainties is something that all educational institutions stress upon. And during these times, we can see that they have done well according to how smoothly the students are able to study and work, despite facing a lot of complications every day.
It is true that the only thing which is constant is change, and with change, come innovations. Online education has enabled the students to deal with issues in smart, creative and innovative manner, and it is the greatest benefit of online education, that it incorporated a sense of innovation in the minds of the students.
