Journalist S.K Sami recovered from Corona

PESHAWAR: S.K Sami, a senior journalist and chief reporter of an English newspaper has recovered from Corona after fighting with the disease for the last 18 days.

He had contracted the Coronavirus while performing his duties on regular basis and after that his wife and two children had also got affected by the disease, but instead of getting admitted in the hospital he preferred to consult his family physician for necessary treatment by remaining in quarantine for 18 days at home.

The journalist extended his gratitude to the entire journalist fraternity, friends and family members for their prayers and well-wishing. “I literally have no words to thank all those who prayed for me and my family and helped me to defeat this fatal disease,” he said while talking to this scribe.

He stated that adviser to CM KP on Information Ajmal Wazir had announced compensation for all frontline fighters, including journalists amid the Corona pandemic and he hoped that the provincial government would soon help the journalist community.

In response to a question S.K Sami said that he had suffered from all the symptoms of the disease which were indicated by the health experts. “I had been affected by all the indications such as high fever, severe and uncontrollable cough, problem in taking breath and above all the most dangerous and unbearable pain in my body,” he added.

He appealed the public to take the Corona as a serious disease rather than to ignore it as prevention is better than cure, adding that it was such kind of disease which should not be taken lightly as even after getting recovered from it one would not only face physical but psychological weakness as well.
