PESHAWAR: Provincial Nurses Association (PNA) has demanded the government to provide safety kits and N95 masks immediately to all nurses serving at Corona wards and ICUs in different hospitals of the province.

Anwar Sultana, General Secretary, PNA, in a press release issued on Saturday has said that around 170 nurses in the province were being tested Corona positive, whereas one nurse died of Corona as well, however, despite this the hospitals administrations were not providing safety kits and N95 masks to nurses working at Corona wards and ICUs etc., adding that they would boycott from their duties throughout the province, if the government did not solve their problem.

She stated that N95 masks were not being provided to nurses performing duties at Corona ICU at Leady Reading Hospital (LRH) which is a very wrong practice and we can’t keep our lives at danger anymore, therefore, the hospital administration must resolve this issue otherwise nurses would stop their duties.
