1st KMC International Orthobiologics Symposium held

PESHAWAR: The 1st International Orthobiologics Symposium was conducted in Khyber Medical College, Peshawar on Tuesday.

The symposium was hosted by the Department Of Orthopedics, KTH under the supervision of Professor Dr Zahid Askar. The symposium was chaired by eminent professor Dr Khalid Mehmood Shah, with renowned international faculty, Dr Munawar Shah, Dr John Oreagon and Dr Shakir Syed from UK, Dr Ralph Rogers from USA & Dr Kuldip S. Sidhu from Australia.

According to the speakers, orthobiologics were those agents occurring in nature, which allow us to manage and heal conditions that would otherwise require surgery. The aim of the symposium was to educate people on the proper use and limitations of these agents. The symposium was attended by consultants, researchers & trainees from all over Pakistan.
