Newly published book on Bacha Khan termed valuable addition

PESHAWAR: Speakers at a ceremony held at Peshawar Press Club here on Thursday termed a newly published book in English, titled ‘Badshah Khan: The Prisoner of Conscience’ written by Dr Durwaish Afridi a valuable addition as it carried rare information on the life and political struggle of Bacha Khan.
Published under the auspices of ‘Mafkoora’ a private research organization, the newly published book was praised by the participants and billed it a treasure trove of information on the life and political movement of Bacha Khan. The book launching event attended by poets, writers and political activists.
Prof Gulzar Jalal while shedding light on the various aspects of the newly published title said that the book equated with international standards and should be read by everyone interested in the life and political journey of Bacha Khan.
Sheikh Jahanzada chaired the event and pointed out that the author had done quality research work on Bacha Khan and should be read thoroughly. Dr Fazal Rahim Marwat, Prof Samiuddin Arman and Pervez Khan also shared their views on the book and its importance for public.
