PESHAWAR: The Sunrise Today has announced to organize the ‘Pakhtunkhwa Economic Summit’ in September 2021 in Peshawar.
A press release issued in this regard here on Friday, says that it is the first ever program of its kind in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan to review the economy of the province in perspective of the today’s challenges and opportunities.
The press release says that there is a dire need for such amazing initiatives to link the different stakeholders on one platform and analyze the economic situation of the militancy-hit province by looking into each and every possible solution for its financial crisis and problems.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the federal governments, representatives of industrial and corporate sectors and international key stakeholders will be invited to the event to come and sit together to strategize a way forward for the economic uplift and progress and development of the province and its terrorism-affected people, further says the press release.
Very good initiative by the sunrise today, which will highlight the potential of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa in agriculture, mineral, water resources, and of course in manufacturing. But at the same time one wish that CM Mahmood Khan show some intelligence, competence and right decision making capability to understand the strength and weakness of of KPK economy. He was irrigation minister in Pervez Khattak government but he still in the chair of CM has miserably failed in the past three years launch construction of small and medium size dams and solar tube well projects for the fertile rain fed agriculture land, particularly in the southern districts of the province, notwithstanding his post graduation in agriculture sciences.
