KP Health Care Commission elects new office bearers

PESHAWAR: The new Board of Commissioners of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Care Commission (KPHCC) has elected Dr Ikram Ghani and Dr Syed Abdul Sabooh Bacha as Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively.

In this regard, a meeting was held here on Wednesday, which was attended by Secretary Health Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, CEO KPHCC Dr Maqsood Ali, DG Pakistan National Accreditation Council Ismat Gul Khattak, Chief Pharmacist Abid Hayat, Deputy Secretary Home Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kashif Qayyum Khattak and ex-Secretary C&W Engr Adam Khan.

The newly elected chairman pledged to take steps for the improvement of healthcare facilities and service delivery to the people while no time would be wasted in this regard. He assured that a strategy would be chalked out soon to address the issues being faced by the Commission.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer KPHCC gave a detailed briefing to the board members on the aims and objectives of the Commission, procedures, registration, injection and monitoring of healthcare centers in the province.

He also presented the performance of the last 10 months in his briefing and apprised the board members that the Commission had rendered outstanding services in the field of healthcare during the past 10 months.

The Chairman KPHCC Dr Ikram Ghani and all the board members appreciated the performance of the Commission and reiterated its commitment for a healthy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in line with the vision of the provincial government.
