Moazzam Butt elected as President, PML-Qayyum

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League (Qayyum Khan Group) has elected Moazzam Butt Advocate as President and Syed Faqeer Hussain Bukhari as General Secretary.
In this regard, a function was held on Sunday in which PML (Qayyum) has been revived through passing a resolution by a group of eminent political workers of the country. Meanwhile, Moazzam Butt Advocate has been elected as President and Syed Faqeer Hussain Bukhari as General Secretary by the participants unanimously, whereas the party leaders were given the authority to nominate the provincial and overseas office bearers of the party.
While addressing the event, the newly-elected president of PML (Qayyum) and well-known lawyer, Moazzam Butt said that the revival of PML-Qayyum was in the interest of Pakistanis and because of it the political gap would be filled in the country by addressing the core issues of the public.
He stated that the thinking of Khan Abdul Qayyum Khan – the former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the founder of PML-Qayyum was actually the essence of the ideology and philosophy of Quid-e-Azam; therefore, through the new political move the young generation would be made aware of the political approach of both the leaders.
Syed Faqeer Hussain Bukhari, the newly-elected general secretary of PML (Q), said that they would strengthen and develop the party under the leadership of Moazzam Butt Advocate and would play their due role in the progress and development of the country.
