University of Malakand clinches top position in THE ranking

DIR LOWER: The University of Malakand (UoM) once again defended its past record by clinching top position in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa universities impact ranking list issued by Times Higher Education (THE), United Kingdom for 2020, whereas the other 23 Pakistani universities could only got a place in this ranking.

Fida Khan, the UoM’s spokesman, speaking to Sunrise Today said that Times Higher Education London issued the universities impact list for 2020 in which the UoM was at top on provincial level in Pakistan. He said that last year the UoM was in top amongst the five universities of Pakistan also.

He said that only 23 Pakistani universities could find place in THE ranking, adding that Iqra University Karachi, Jinah Medical University, Dawood Medical University, NED University, Dawood Engineering University were also in the list.

Prof Dr Gul Zaman, Vice chancellor, UoM while commenting on this achievement said that it was a moment of pride and honor for all the stakeholders and members of the UoM to win the top position in the ranking list across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

He said that morale of all the university employees and students was up when they heard about the valued status of the UoM once again in THE ranking announced the other day. He added that the UoM has achieved a big goal and it would continue its struggle to get more and more success in future.
