USAID arranges medical camp in Swat

SWAT: The 1st medical camp of the newly-refurbished MHSU was organized under the USAID’s IHSS-SD Activity at Rural Health Center Chuprial, Swat on Thursday in which medical treatment was provided to more than one thousand patients.  

The Health Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also participated actively in the camp to improve access to services, especially maternal, newborns and child health, tuberculosis prevention and control and increasing demand for healthcare services, especially in underserved, uncovered, and hard to reach areas.

Following services were provided at medical camp: General outpatient services for male and female and children who visited the camp, MNCH services for eligible pregnant women, mothers, and children, ophthalmology services including refraction, free glasses, and free eye drops in collaboration with Al-Shifa Eye Trust Rawalpindi, tuberculosis prevention and control services, including diagnosis and referral for treatment, dermatology services and laboratory tests, including hemoglobin, serum glucose random, pregnancy test, urine test and Ultrasound examination.
