Scholar Waheed Ullah defends M.Phil thesis

PESHAWAR: A research scholar, Waheed Ullah of the Center for Omic Sciences, Islamia College University (ICU) Peshawar has successfully defended his thesis and declared eligible for the award of M.Phil degree in the subject of Genetics.

In this regard, a function was held at the ICU here on Tuesday. The function was followed by a question-answer session in which he defended his research work by answering the questions of the participants in a proper way. Faculty members, research scholars and students attended the event.

The topic of the thesis of the scholar is: “Identification of nonsynonymous variants in a family diagnosed with Warburg Micro syndrome”. Dr Muhammad Ilyas, Assistant Professor, Center for Omic Sciences, ICU served as his supervisor, while Dr Sahib Gul of the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan was his external examiner.
