Upgradation approved for UAP’s human nutrition dept

PESHAWAR: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has granted approval to the upgradation of the Department of Human Nutrition to the Institute of Human Nutrition and Dietetics in the University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP).
A press release issued in this regard here on Saturday, says that the Department of Human Nutrition, UAP had submitted a concept note to the HEC through the Dean and P&D Department in 2020 for upgrading the department to the Institute of Human Nutrition and Dietetics. The concept note was approved by the HEC and asked the P&D Department for submission of complete PC1 by March 2021.
The PC1 was discussed in the HEC during the DDWP meeting held on April 15, 2021 and the project on Upgradation of the Department of Human Nutrition to the Institute of Human Nutrition and Dietetics was finally approved worth PKR 500 million, further said the press release.
