YPC hold career counselling session at UoP

PESHAWAR: The Young Pharmacist Community (YPC) Pakistan on Wednesday organized a career counselling session for the new graduates of the Department of Pharmacy, University of Peshawar.

Member Provincial Assembly Fazal Elahi was the chief guest on the occasion while Drug Inspector Dr Naeem Khan, Dr Ihsan Khan and Chief Pharmacist Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Peshawar Dr Abdul Wahab were among the participants.

Addressing the function, the MPA Fazal Elahi appreciated the role of pharmacists in the healthcare system and said that every area of health, including public and private hospitals were incomplete without the presence of pharmacists.

He highlighted the importance of the profession of pharmacy and stated that utmost attention should be given to it, adding that although, the pharmacists had good positions in the healthcare system in developed countries but in Pakistan we need to improve our health system by the induction of pharmacists on key positions.
