Official’s misconduct annoying colleagues in irrigation dept

PESHAWAR: An official of the Irrigation Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has made the lives of his colleagues miserable at the head office, sources said on Saturday.
They said that an administrative officer, Sher Zaman, posted at the Irrigation Department head office had been misbehaving his colleagues and junior officials since long, adding that the Chief Engineers (North & South) were informed of the deplorable state of affairs at the office but no positive steps were taken against the official in question except giving show cause notice and seeking explanation from him.
The sources further stated that all the ministerial staff at the office held a meeting in which they asked the competent authorities either to streamline the working atmosphere jeopardized due to the official's misconduct or transfer them en bloc to other offices.
“After bringing the issue to the notice of the high-ups, we have decided to take extreme steps if the notice was not considered seriously,” an official, pleading anonymity, told this scribe.
