Ph.D scholar Asma defends thesis

PESHAWAR: Asma Khan, Assistant Development Officer, Pakistan Tobacco Board, has successfully defended her thesis from the Department of Agricultural Chemistry, Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) and declared eligible for the award of Ph.D degree in the subject of Agricultural Chemistry.

In this regard, a function was organised at the AUP here on Monday, in which she defended her research work successfully by answering the questions of the participants in a scholarly way. Faculty members, research scholars, students and a number of people from different walks of life participated in the event.

The topic of her thesis is: “Fate of Pesticides and their Impact on the Soil Microbial Community” which she completed under the supervision of Dr Muhammad Suleman, Assistant Professor, Department of Agricultural Chemistry, AUP, while it was examined by many eminent professors in Turkey and Malaysia.
