KTH starts breast cancer awareness campaign

PESHAWAR: Khyber Teaching Hospital (MTI-KTH), Peshawar has initiated a month long awareness campaign regarding breast cancer here on Monday.

According to a press release issued here on Monday, a special session was arranged for charge and head nurses in the hospital, wherein Prof Dr Mah Munir Khan and Assistant Prof Dr Irum Sabir delivered detailed lectures regarding self-examination of breast, clinical examination, breast cancer awareness and breast ultrasound.

The press release says that the month of October is internationally marked as breast cancer awareness month, so, in this connection, KTH is also holding a month long breast cancer awareness campaign and all those women who will attend the awareness sessions, would be guided how to perform self-examination of their breasts, if they feel or observe any unpleasant happening in this regard.

The services of free-of-cost clinical examination, breast cancer awareness sessions, education desk and ultrasound scanning for breast cancer will be offered daily from 9am to 12am till 29th October, 2020 at Auditorium, 5th Floor, New Accident & Emergency Building, KTH, the press release further says.
