KPIC, KPRTSC vow to improve services

PESHAWAR: The Chief Commissioners of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Commission (KPIC) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Services Commission (KPRTSC) have vowed to initiate concerted efforts to improve the service delivery and governance in the province through transparency and accountability in their institutions.

A meeting was held in this regard on Thursday in which the Chief Commissioner KPIC Sajid Khan and the Chief Commissioner KPRTSC Mushtaq Jadun decided to re-launch a joint awareness and other activities with more intensity than prior to Covid-19 epidemic to provide outstanding facilities to the public in terms of service delivery and better governance.

The Commissioner KPIC said that the RTI Law had helped to protect the public’s constitutional right of access to information of public interest and by doing so the government’s agenda on transparency and accountability could be achieved, adding that in this regard 37 departments of the province had properly updated their websites by enabling the citizens to have access to information of public importance and helping in building effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
